Unless your having a wedding abroad and planning on having a celebratory party on your return home it is unlikely that you will be wearing your wedding dress more than once. Your bridesmaids on the other hand would take great delight in having a dress that they would be able to wear again and again, with lasting memories of your special day.
For a bride to say the words “Choose your own little black dress” to their maids is simply a wonderful option for many ladies. Being able to choose their own style of bridesmaid dress that flatters their unique body shape and that they can put in their wardrobe knowing that they will get plenty of use out of it is like a breathe of fresh air. It also take the stress factor off the bride. No upset friends disagreeing or trying to find the same flattering gown, and it’s easier on your wedding budget too. You can incorporate colour in other ways such as accessories, flowers, wraps and sashes.
If you are going down this route do ensure you let your bridesmaids know your preference to long or short. Cocktail length is more practical overall and a matte finish is more wearable than shiny as it can be worn again to the office or for a casual lunch date. Alternatively if your seeking a wedding dress with some added colour or in an usual colourway then ensure you take a trip to the Wedding Dress Factory Outlet. With a huge selection of cheap wedding dresses from £150-£400 there is something for every bride whatever shade of the rainbow she desires her bridal wear to be.

Continuing on from last week’s blog of celebrity iconic weddings we examine a few more famous brides whose choice of wedding dress has influenced the bridalwear industry and the modern day bride when shopping for wedding dresses.
Tom Cruise and Dawson’s Creek actress Katie Holmes stole the media headlines when they married in 2006 at an Italian Castle after a whirlwind romance. The bride wore a custom designed Armani wedding gown that, according to reports, took over 350 hours just to sew on the Swarovski beading and crystals. The off the shoulder, vintage inspired gown featured Valenciennes lace and a beautifully complementary veil. The groom also wore Armani, opting for a navy two button tuxedo. The new Mrs Cruise changed into an Armani peach coloured organza dress before the newlyweds had their first dance. Fireworks and music by Mark Ronson continued the celebration into the evening.
Courtney Cox married David Arquette in the Summer of 2000. The Friends star wore a simple silk Valentino wedding dress which featured full length sleeves and a draped neckline emphasised her shape beautifully. She completed the look with a cathedral veil and a bouquet of red roses. The groom looked dapper in a morning suit. It seems many celebrity brides have ditched the trend of strapless wedding dresses. Liv Tyler, Zoe Ball, Nicole Kidman and Gwen Stefani all had straps or sleeves of some sort on their wedding gowns. With Kate Middleton setting the trend of sleeves last year at her wedding to Prince William it may just be that the popularity of the strapless wedding dress may become a diminishing trend.

This weekend is all about wedding dresses in New York as retailers and manufactures come together for the 2012 New York International Bridal Week. The professional bridal wear trade show is to be hosted at Pier 94, a sophisticated and captivating venue full of sparkling chandeliers and white carpets, the perfect location for the top names in the bridal industry.
Designers from all over the world come together to reveal their beautiful and latest collection of wedding dresses. From traditional style wedding gowns to the very latest in modern and contemporary bridal wear. Everything that the bride of today is looking for is reviewed here, from hemlines to fabrics, silhouettes and styles, the fashion in the bridal wear industry will be scrutinously examined.
The last exhibition saw endless amounts of white wedding dresses with a tiny hint of ivory, with the exception of designer Very Wang who opted to go to the other end of the colour spectrum. Her collection featured midnight black wedding gowns as well as the more popular colourway choices of ivory, nude and a pretty shade of dusty rose. Wedding dress skirts were soft and floaty, made of lace, tulle and organza. Whilst strapless dresses were paraded down the catwalk we saw the arrival of sleeved, strap and halter neck wedding dresses. For those brides that fancy something a bit more revealing, then the sexy evening style wedding dresses with thigh high slits seen last year would have been your dream wedding dress.
We look forward to reporting back what the future look for the up and coming wedding seasons will be! Any suggestions of what styles and designs you’d particularly love to wear?

Everyone likes to save money and get a bargain whether it’s saving a few pounds at the local supermarket or a couple of thousand on a new car. In planning your wedding you may have got good deal on a photography package or managed to get your venue at a cheaper price. When it comes finding cheap wedding dresses you might think that your options are restricted to buying used bridal wear from eBay, a 30 year old gown from a local charity shop or purchasing an overly used tired looking sample wedding dress from a bridal boutique.
In purchasing a used wedding dress your choices will be limited. With auction sites you cannot guarantee that the photograph of the pictured wedding dress will be the one you will be receiving, not forgetting you may not even like it when it arrives. Wedding dresses look very different on different people. Then you have the cost implications of dry cleaning and altering the dress so it fits you. Before you know it the price of your discount wedding dress has become a substantial amount more than you initially bargained for.
There is one other way of purchasing your wedding dress at a fraction of the price and that’s by visiting one of the UK’s largest and most competitively priced factory outlets based in Leicestershire. Our cheap wedding dresses have up to 75% off the retail price and are all very reasonably priced from £150-£400. The vast majority of these discounted designer wedding dresses are brand new, having come direct from the manufacturer or designer who have excess stock, discontinued lines, unused samples or cancelled orders. Some are one off designs making your wedding dress even more unique! A small amount may have been used in photo shoots or on catwalks. All of our bridal wear is in perfect condition and if required will have been cleaned beforehand to ensure it is in pristine condition.
