Wedding Dress Stock Update 29 Sept 2009

The Wedding Dress Factory Outlet are happy to announce some recent additions to our huge stock. On the 19th September we added 60 new designer wedding dresses to our collections. Further to this, on the 29th September we have added an additional 50 wedding dresses.

All of the dresses are of exceptional quality and come in a range of fabrics and styles. Sizes of the newer wedding dresses range from 12 to 30 with the majority between size 12 and size 18. There are many different high street designers included within this stock so please visit us soon to ensure you have the pick of the wedding dresses.

Wedding Dress Feedback

We are encouraging all brides that have purchased wedding dresses from our factory outlet to give feedback on the service they have received.

The vast majority of brides we speak to say that they are particularly happy with the relaxed atmosphere and the fact that they are free to browse over 1,500 wedding dresses without being pressured.

However, when they have made a selection of gowns to try on they have also been happy with the informative and helpful feedback we give in order that they choose a gown that suits their body shape, is comfortable on the big day and also looks amazing.

Wedding Dress Factory Outlet Opening Times

We are keen to offer the best service to brides and we would like to be open every single day of the week. However, our primary focus is to keep the price of our beautiful designer wedding dresses to an absolute minimum so at present we are restricting our opening times to keep our costs down.

Please visit the location page of the main website to view our opening times so you do not have a wasted journey. Essentially, we are open every Saturday between 10am and 3pm, but we are looking to open up a further day or two in the near future.

Wedding Dress Sizes & Alterations

Some useful information you will need to know about choosing the size of your dress and making arrangements for alterations;

Firstly, it is important to understand that at The Wedding Dress Factory Outlet, we work very differently to boutiques. Basically, what we have in stock is what we have, unlike bridal boutiques who will order a specific size that is nearest to you with delivery usually in around 16 weeks. The advantage of the way we work is that you know that wedding dress you try on is the dress you will have, although the downside is that we don’t hold all wedding dresses in all sizes. That’s where a good seamstress comes in…

Even if the dress you find with us does not fit perfectly straight away, there is still hope. A good seamstress will have no problem with sizing a dress up or down to fit you. Depending upon the fabric type and the seam allowance in the dress, it is possible to increase a bridal dress by 1 or 2 sizes, so if you are a size 14 and find a size 10 or 12 dress that you love, it could still be possible to have the dress altered to fit.

We can recommend a great seamstress who we have worked with for many years. She is not employed by us and therefore you would need to make your own arrangements to book in with her at a time to suit you both. Alternatively, you can choose to appoint your own seamstress, which may be easier if you are travelling some distance to purchase your wedding dress from us.

Some other useful tips:

The underwear you choose to have on the day can affect the fit of the dress, so make sure you wear the correct underwear when you have your final fitting.

Don’t have the length of the dress altered until you have chosen your shoes.

A large proportion of our wedding dresses have trains, but if you prefer not to have a train, remember that most competent seamstresses would be able to remove it.

Don’t have your final fitting too early on as your weight could fluctuate with the stress of organising the wedding!! Please make sure you have a time booked in with a seamstress early on as the good ones will get booked up quickly, particularly in the spring and summer months.

Wedding Dress Stock

At the Wedding Dress Factory Outlet we are trying to make buying wedding dresses as easy as possible by having as much stock as possible to choose from. The majority of our brides tell us that we are the only place in the UK to offer such a huge range of wedding dresses in so many different styles. This is particularly useful to brides who do not know the style of gown they want and have the opportunity to try on loads of wedding dresses until they find the style that looks perfect.

We are continually sourcing new stock to add to our large collection but we do have some problems when selling only from stock. We obviously cannot stock every size in one particular style so this means some restrictions but with so much stock, we rarely cannot find a wedding dress for our brides.
