Traditionally it is the groom’s job to organise, book and pay for the honeymoon….. and perhaps even keep it schtum from his wife to be (if he is feeling really brave!). Thank goodness he doesn’t get the job of choosing your wedding dress! (Unless he really wants to of course, then make sure you direct him to the Wedding Dress Factory Outlet for the best range of cheap wedding dresses, we’ll make sure he chooses something special!) Nowadays however most couples prefer to have fun together in choosing their trip of a lifetime with some selecting to opt for travel vouchers instead of a wedding gift list to allow for a really extravagant honeymoon.
When deciding where you wish to honeymoon it is important that the location suits you both, whether this is backpacking around the world, a month on a deserted island, a safari action fuelled adventure or sight seeing in a vibrant city. Having an idea with what suits both your tastes will help narrow down your initial search.
When thinking about the location do bear in mind the time of year you will be going and what the weather will be like. Different places around the globe experience very rainy months and have times when they may be under threat from a hurricane or tornado. Do also consider whether you desire to visit during the tourist season. This is when the weather will usually be at it’s best but there will be a lot more people buzzing around. Alternatively you could opt to visit out of season when flights and accommodation are likely to substantially cheaper and less busy with visitors.
What do you both want put of the honeymoon experience? A fortnight of pure relaxation or some adrenaline filled adventures? By thinking about the different activities that you would like to take part in whilst on your first holiday together as husband and wife you can ensure the destination you choose has these to offer. Once you have taken all of this into consideration put together a list of a few destinations that take your fancy. In doing so it will enable you to be more flexible on choosing your accommodation, which particularly on your honeymoon can enhance your overall once in lifetime trip. You can then select the hotel that fits your criteria and ticks all the boxes of what you both want to experience.

With same sex weddings there are no set rules as to what you should or shouldn’t wear, so you’re free to take your pick of whatever you fancy. As a lesbian couple, looking for your wedding day outfit can be a frightening prospect and make you quiver with nerves, whether you’re looking for a princess wedding gown, a trouser suit or a full on kilt package. Here at the Wedding Dress Factory Outlet we offer friendly and helpful advice and with our huge selection of discount wedding dresses there is something to suit every bride’s needs.
You may opt to both wear a wedding dress with the full she bang of a tiara, veil and a bouquet each or opt for an individual style which incorporates both femme and butch. If you have both decided that a traditional style dress is the way forward consider whether you want your wedding gowns to match and co-ordinate or totally surprise each other on the day itself. Alternatively both of you may feel more suited in complimenting trouser suits or one of you may wear a dress and the other a tuxedo.
By going wedding outfit shopping together, you both know each other’s tastes and will be honest and open as to what looks good on your wife to be. Whatever you choose to wear you should be comfortable, happy and of course feel amazing wearing it. Above all it is important to select something that is a representation of your individual style and personality and shows you are at ease with who you are.

For many brides a long engagement is a necessity to be able to plan and prepare for their special day over months or years. However there are an increasing amount of couples who cannot wait to become husband and wife and plan their day in just a few months and in some cases a matter of a few weeks. For many a short engagement is the only option. This could be down to military obligations, pregnancy, terminally ill family members, job opportunities or quite frankly uncontrollable desire. You don’t have to elope, your dream day and your perfect wedding gown are perfectly achievable. All that’s required is flexibility and a sprinkling of a good sense of humour!
What about the dress I hear you cry? Many wedding dress shops and boutiques may gasp in horror at finding out your timescale and shake their heads disapprovingly. The majority of dress manufacturers have a lead time of around six months and then you are generally required to allow further time on top of that for your dress fittings. Don’t despair! Here at the Wedding Dress Factory Outlet we have a huge range of over 700 discount wedding dresses that can be bought off the peg and taken away the same day! We make it possible to get married quickly and have the wedding gown you love.

When choosing how you’re going to wear your hair on your wedding day it is important to consider your wedding dress style and your individual personality. The shape of your face is also a deciding factor. Get it right and the overall result will be stunning and beautiful.
Your wedding hairstyle, like your accessories, should compliment your wedding dress rather than detract from it. Think about the style of your wedding dress. If you’re having an elaborate dress then a hippy look hairstyle is not going to work, whereas a sleek chic chignon would keep the focus on your gown with it’s simplicity. Strapless gowns with ‘Updo’ hairstyles will show off and emphasise your neck and shoulders and would also look fantastic if your dress has spaghetti or halterneck straps.
Do think about how your hair accessories will work with the hairstyles you have in mind. Veils can be surprisingly heavy, particularly longer and layered ones. If you’re having a veil, ensure your hairstyle will be strong enough to withstand the weight if you decide to have your hair up. Veils look particularly stunning in curled hair that has been swept up or is in a half up and down style. You could always opt to wear your veil lower down at the back of your nape, underneath your ‘updo’. Flowers look fabulous in a loose hippy style ‘updo’ or with tumbling loose curls. Headbands work well with chic sleek dos and tiaras look lovely with the traditional style ‘Updos’.
Think about the theme and style of your wedding. A fancy formal wedding at a swanky hotel would suit a sleek updo. An informal wedding would suit a more relaxed loose style.
Face shape is a big factor. If you have an oval shaped face you can wear virtually any hair style. Heart shaped and square faced brides should avoid long straight style. Heart shapes should go for side parting and soft curls. Curls and waves also look good on square shaped faces as it gives a softer look, where as round faced brides should avoid curls and volume as this will only add width. Instead they should go for sleeker styles pulled away from the face – they are a perfect shape for high ‘Updos’.
However you decide to wear your hair make sure you are comfortable with it. It should be a reflection on your personality and you as an individual. Your groom wants to see you walking floating down the aisle, not someone he barely recognises with a wacky hair style!
