Having married her husband Jay-Z over three years ago 30 year old singer Beyonce has managed to keep the intimate details of her wedding and the wedding gown under wraps. The top secret luxury affair, which was held in New York in April 2008 was a star studded occasion and included the pregnant singers bandmates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland from Destiny’s Child. Chris Martin, Coldplay’s lead singer and his actress wife Gwyneth Paltrow along with Pharrell Williams, Kayne West and Janet Jackson. Until now…
In her latest music video fans have been spoiled with a video montage featuring some truly iconic clips of her lifetime achievements, including one of her trying on her amazing wedding dress, which was made by her mother. The amazing strapless white wedding gown has a dramatic deep sweetheart style neckline and is fitted with over her hips with lots of ruching, emphasising her tiny waist. The skirt has drapes and ruffles with a long wide train complete with what appears to be a hip corsage.
The reception of the newlyweds spectacular day reportedly took place on the terrace of Jay-Z’s Tribeca penthouse in a marquee and was ornately decorated with 60,000 white orchids which were imported from Thailand, costing a mere $500,000.
There was never any doubt that Beyonce would make a beautiful bride. Having worn two bridal gowns in another of her previous music videos, one a fitted Very Wang dress and the other a huge princess style gown. We think her real life wedding dress bears some resemblance to the Vivienne Westwood gown that Carrie Bradshaw wore in the Sex and the City movie. Come find your dream wedding gown amongst the hundreds we have to offer here at the Wedding Dress Factory Outlet, one of the UK’s largest factory outlet for discount wedding dresses.

Pregnancy is an exciting and poignant time in any couples lives, and many parents to be be want to express their commitment further by getting married before their new addition arrives. With almost 20% of the modern day bride being pregnant on her wedding day the designers of maternity wedding dresses are busier than ever. So called ‘Shotgun weddings’ are something of the past and a baby on the way can be the catalyst required to cement a couple’s relationship.
Planning a wedding whilst pregnant can cause a whole host of emotions, with a big worry being on your wedding dress. You need to choose something that is comfortable yet makes you look and feel amazing. Firstly work out how far along in your pregnancy you will be on your wedding day. Although it is difficult to know what sort of shape or size you are going to be, this will give you an indication of whether you can opt for a larger sized wedding gown, or a maternity wedding dress. As your body is changing to accommodate a growing baby it is likely that you will put on weight. For most expectant mothers their bust increases by at least two cup sizes so you will need to take this into consideration. Some boutiques will provide you with a ’pretend bump’to help you envisage what your gown will look like on your wedding day!
There are many stylish collections to choose from to flatter your bump. From a long grecian style flowing gown to tight fitting above the knee lacy number, some are designed to show off your growing curves whilst others are made to conceal it. It is very much a personal preference to the individual mother and bride to be. Perfect fabric choices include silks, satins, chiffon, taffeta and lace as they will help keep you cool. Your growing bust will need supporting so think about whether your maternity bra will work with your chosen wedding dress. Alternatively you could wear a strapless bra, but be careful for underwires which can block your milk ducts and cause infections. Don’t forget your breast pads too just in case of leaks! Flat or low heeled comfy shoes are a must have, your going to be on your feet a fair bit during the course of the day and with the extra weight you are carrying high heels will put a huge strain on you.
Whether your having a formal or an informal wedding your free to choose the wedding dress you love and look and feel beautiful in with an expansive range on offer to suit every expectant brides needs.

If you have chosen to have a Winter wedding in December then why not have a Christmas theme. It makes for easy planning and the ideas and inspirations around this festive period are endless. It’s the perfect excuse to have the fairytale wedding dress you have always dreamed of too!
As venues will get booked up fairly quickly due to the time of year it is important that you plan ahead to secure the place where you wish to get wed. An added bonus is that the location will already be decorated for the Christmas season, therefore saving you time and money. Save the date cards are a necessity with this being such a hectic time for family and friends. These and your invitations can be made simply on blank Christmas cards.
Traditional colours for Christmas are reds and greens but don’t feel you have to stick to using these colours. Icy blues and pinks, browns and golds, silver and burgundy would all be stunning colours to use. If your heart is set on a Winter Wonderland look then opt for whites and silvers with lashings of glitter and snowflakes for a breathtaking setting.
As a Christmas bride you could choose to wear a pure white wedding dress complete with a faux fur wrap or bolero. Or how about a cape or cloak in a co-ordinating colour to your theme. When it comes to your bouquet use flowers and foliage to highlight the season, from pine cones, poinsettias and mistletoe to holly and ivy, they can be incorporated into classic carnations, roses and lillies. If you can, why not arrive in style in a horse drawn carriage or sleigh, and once you’re married why not have your guests ring sleigh bells as you leave, instead of throwing confetti.
Candles placed on mirrors are perfect centrepieces or use large vases and fill them with colour co-ordinated Christmas decorations. You could serve a traditional Christmas dinner as your wedding breakfast and have a classic fruit christmas cake as your wedding cake decorated with holly, evergreen or Christmas ornaments of your choice. A perfect wedding favour is a personalised bauble or candle with your names and wedding date inscribed on them.

The wedding gift list is sorted as are all of your attendant presents. Now you need to consider a present for the person you are about to marry and what you would like to present to them on your wedding day as a gesture of your love. So what do you give to the person who means everything, yet has everything!?
As tradition goes the groom would generally give jewellery to his future wife. An item that she could wear on her wedding day, such as earrings or a necklace to compliment her wedding dress. The bride would then return the favour by presenting the groom with an engraved watch. These were then passed down the generations as family heirlooms.
When considering what you are giving to one another it should be personal to the two of you and come from the heart. It should be an expression of your commitment and love and reflect your likes and personalities. Think about what sort of reaction you want to create when your loved one receives it, would they prefer something that makes them laugh or do you aim to make them shed a few tears.
As a bride you could continue the theme of giving a watch, each time he checks the time he will be reminded of your amazing day or how about a pair of lavish cufflinks to wear, a good option, especially if he is a regular shirt wearer. Or if your the groom opt for a bottle of expensive perfume, by her wearing it on your wedding day, any day there after it will bring back many wonderful memories. A necklace is a classic choice and something she will treasure forever. Do ensure the metal matches her bridal wear jewellery.
Or why not go for a sentimental gift. A handwritten love letter, a CD collection of your favourite songs, a photo album compiled with your good times or a simply a single rose declaring ‘I love you’ are all meaningful choices. It doesn’t need to be expensive or extravagant. Providing it is personal to the two of you becoming one it will be cherished.
Other ideas include a gadget or gizmo for the home you share, an experience day of some sort or maybe a romantic break.
Many couples are choosing to opt out of buying gifts for one another, with the ever increasing cost of weddings and many of them paying for their day themselves.
Whatever you do, just remember it is the thought that counts. What gift could be better than the gift of the promise of a lifelong commitment of happiness and love to one another!
