Getting engaged is an exciting time for any couple but before you hit the bridal boutiques and factory outlets to try on wedding dresses you really need to book the date and venue first. Where you will be saying ‘I do’ has an influence over the wedding dress style you will go for. From churches, to registry offices, hotels and country manors there are many places to get married, however have you considered one of these locations in the UK as your venue?
- UK Parliament – Two rooms the MP’s dining hall and the Jubilee Room have been approved by Westminster Council as venues for civil ceremonies.
- Absolut Icebar – who needs snow for a winter wonderland wedding. Guaranteed temperatures of below minus five as you say your vows before warming up for a reception in the Below Zero Restaurant.

You’ve just got engaged and excitedly hit the shops and purchase every bridal wear magazine available in the hope for some inspiration on wedding dresses (that’s what I recall doing anyway!). These glossy magazines and the Internet are a great resource when you are gathering ideas of the different wedding dress styles that you would like to try on and envisage yourself wearing on your special day.
Before you can realistically go shopping for wedding dresses it is advisable to set the date of your wedding beforehand. In knowing the time of year in which you are getting wed, the location and venue will all help in finding your dream wedding dress. Your own individual style and personality too will play a major role when choosing the most expensive dress you are likely to ever purchase. Many brides set themselves a budget when they begin shopping for wedding dresses, ideally hoping not to spend over a set amount. However you don’t need to worry about setting yourself a maximum amount to spend when visiting the Wedding Dress Factory Outlet. With our cheap wedding dresses priced from as little as £150 to £400 you can look through and try on our entire collection without the fear of overspending or missing out on certain wedding dresses that could potentially be the ‘one’.

Every woman on her wedding day wants to gaze in the mirror and feel the epitome of beauty as she sees a smiling bride looking back at her. You should feel confident and happy with the way you look, even with those areas of your body that you dislike. Prior to going shopping for wedding dresses it is likely that you have a vision of the type of wedding dress you see yourself wearing with a desire to hide or disguise those certain areas. These problem areas are often where we carry extra weight, or are not as toned such as the tummy, bottom thighs and upper arms. For other women they are conscious of their small or large bust, or for some they long to create an illusion of curves.
There are wedding dresses to compliment every shape and size whilst making the most of your best assets and hiding the parts you’re not so fond of. Of course if you are looking to tone prior to your special day there are lots of fun ways to do so, not forgetting the amazing’ pull you in and drop several dress size’ underwear available on the market.
Before you begin your bridal wear search have a look at our helpful guide which will give you some advice on the types of wedding dresses that would suit your shape and the dress styles you should steer clear of. If you feel that exercise and changing your diet can help with improving those areas you don’t like then set yourself an achievable goal to work towards. If it’s toning that’s needed then aim to do some exercise on a regular basis, you will be amazed at the difference it makes.
Alternatively consider other options to hide these areas. Good underwear, be it a basque or shape wear really can work wonders. If you are conscious of your upper arms then why not wear a bolero or use a wrap. A veil can also cover your upper arms as well as hiding tattoos you’d rather not be seen on your back or shoulders. Dazzling accessories such as chandelier earrings and sparkling necklaces draw the eye up to your face and shoulders. Our friendly sales assistants have seen many brides in many wedding dresses and are here to help so please do not hesitate to ask should you need some assistance or an honest alternative opinion.
Whatever you choose to wear do remember that the person you are marrying is making a commitment to spend the rest of their lives with you. They love you as you just as you are and want to be able to see you in your wedding dress walking down the aisle towards them. A bride who is relaxed and confident in her body and how she looks will be a happy beautiful bride.

Unless your having a wedding abroad and planning on having a celebratory party on your return home it is unlikely that you will be wearing your wedding dress more than once. Your bridesmaids on the other hand would take great delight in having a dress that they would be able to wear again and again, with lasting memories of your special day.
For a bride to say the words “Choose your own little black dress” to their maids is simply a wonderful option for many ladies. Being able to choose their own style of bridesmaid dress that flatters their unique body shape and that they can put in their wardrobe knowing that they will get plenty of use out of it is like a breathe of fresh air. It also take the stress factor off the bride. No upset friends disagreeing or trying to find the same flattering gown, and it’s easier on your wedding budget too. You can incorporate colour in other ways such as accessories, flowers, wraps and sashes.
If you are going down this route do ensure you let your bridesmaids know your preference to long or short. Cocktail length is more practical overall and a matte finish is more wearable than shiny as it can be worn again to the office or for a casual lunch date. Alternatively if your seeking a wedding dress with some added colour or in an usual colourway then ensure you take a trip to the Wedding Dress Factory Outlet. With a huge selection of cheap wedding dresses from £150-£400 there is something for every bride whatever shade of the rainbow she desires her bridal wear to be.
