On your wedding day you may wish to express your thank yous by presenting a small gift or special keepsake to members of your bridal party. Always wanting to help, the Wedding Dress Factory Outlet have put together some gift solutions for your attendants.

For the mothers of both the bride and groom it has become a tradition to present them with a bouquet of flowers during the speech of the groom. An alternative to this would be a plant that she can pot in her garden. This will give her a much longer lasting reminder of your wedding day and will make her beam with pride each time she nurtures it and sees it grow. Other gifts you could present her with include a piece of jewellery. How about some delicate earrings, a locket with a photograph of the two of you in it or assist her in keeping track of the time with a watch. Photo Frames always go down well. Leave it empty for her to pop her favourite wedding day picture in or why not compile a photo collage with lots of happy memories of you all as a family for her to treasure. An ornament or figurine is perfect if she likes her collectibles, or how about some wine glasses or champagne flutes. A framed poem or some special words for her to hang in her home is a personal yet inexpensive gift.

Then there are the other ladies in your life who are involved in your day – your bridesmaids. Many of the gifts suggested for the mothers would be ideal presents. If you were to purchase some jewellery for them you could present it on the morning of your wedding day for them to wear. Other ideas include engraved items such as a compact mirror, silver diary, glasses case, wine goblet or pen. A CD compilation of your special and favourite music from over the years or a framed photograph of the two of you on the hen night are very personal items. By going to car boot sales and fairs you may pick up some unusual but inexpensive presents. A wall mirror, a first edition of a book or a bottle of her favourite tipple are other possibilities.

For your flower girls a porcelain or rag doll in an outfit similar to their own is a lovely keepsake. You can’t go wrong with a charm bracelet, a necklace or a jewellery box. A vanity or make up set is also a little girls dream and everyone loves a cuddly teddy bear.

The men involved in your day, be it the Groom, Fathers, Best Man and Ushers, could gratefully receive a pocket watch or wrist watch. A classic choice is a pair of cuff links that they could wear on your wedding day, or how about an engraved pen, hip flask, tankard or if they are a smoker a lighter. For the business men you can’t go wrong with a personalised card holder or money clip or for a more sentimental touch consider framing a picture from the stag night. For the younger men in the party a watch or a model car are a good choice, or if they are into their sport a signed football. How about a new computer game or a personalised book. Think about what the child’s interests are and your onto a winner!

When you choose to present your gifts is up to you. For many they opt to give out the presents during the time of the speeches, however you may decide to make it a little more personal between the individuals and do it on the morning or evening prior to your wedding day. Do bear in mind that they will be more than happy to have been involved in the wonderful day and it’s true what they, say it’s the thought that counts. You don’t need to spend hundreds of pounds to express your gratitude.

Having been busily planning your dream wedding day and fallen head over heels in love with your perfect wedding dress your to do list is being rapidly ticked off. There is one thing however that you may not have given much thought to, which is whether or not to change your maiden name upon getting married.

It is becoming more common all around the world for brides to stick with their existing name for a variety of reasons. Many women having been practising their new signatures for sometime even before getting engaged to their partner, I for one recall doodling my school crushes’ surnames as my own many moons ago. For some brides the name change barely crosses their mind and they are more than overjoyed to change their name immediately in excitement. Having both the husband and wife using the same surname is convenient and easy when it comes to making financial, legal and social arrangements, and is also advantageous if you have children.

However for some of us taking on a new surname may be more difficult. Some brides may feel they are having to give up part of their family legacy. It may be a more traditional route to take on your new husband’s surname, but your existing identity and keeping hold of the legacy may overpower it. If so then that sentiment alone is enough to make you decide to forgo tradition. It may be that you have established a reputation in your work and changing your name will cause confusion.

Do you like your husband’s surname and how does it sound with your own name? If you really dislike it there is no harm in keeping your maiden name! It may surprise you that your husband may be more than happy to take on your name. There is always the option of having a double-barrelled surname and this is a good compromise. This also allows you as a couple to maintain links with both your family names whilst at the same time recognising the change in your marital status.

A relatively new thing that some couples are opting to do is to mesh their own surnames together to create a new one. This is ideal if you are struggling to choose between names and finding it difficult to decide on whose surname to go first if they are double barrelled meshing is the perfect solution.

Whatever you choose to do it is ultimately your choice as it is a very personal one that only you can decide upon, very much like when you are shopping for wedding dresses! If you happen to still be searching for your dream wedding gown then make your first stop the Wedding Dress Factory Outlet. With over 700 discount wedding dresses of well-known bridal brands and designers, many with up to 75% less than the retail price there is a wedding dress to suit every bride.

Wedding planners are becoming more and more popular here in the UK, having been all the rage for sometime over in the States where many brides would not dream of getting married without one. From assisting you in finding your perfect wedding dress to supporting you on the day and everything else in between, by choosing to have a wedding planner it can help to ease the stress and strains that planning a wedding can bring.

You don’t have to be a Footballers wife or a be marrying a prince to enlist the services of a wedding planner. In today’s society we have our grocery shopping delivered and get someone else to do the housework. So why not employ someone with plenty of knowledge to do all the behind the scenes work to ensure you have your dream day.

What you require from your planner is ultimately down to you. Whether you want them to locate you your amazing venue or do plan everything from the wedding, reception and honeymoon. For many couples they choose to hire a wedding planner simply for the fact of not having enough time themselves. They are particularly helpful if you are getting married on a shorter time scale, if so with our huge range of discount wedding dresses available to purchase off the peg make sure you come visit us! If you are a bride getting married overseas then it makes sense to have someone who knows all the contacts and formalities involved to do the leg work for you or perhaps your a bride who feels totally overwhelmed by everything that a wedding involves.

The cost of an organisers services can vary some will charge a flat fee rate whereas others will charge a percentage of approximately 10-15% of your overall wedding cost. Other planners may charge by the hour with some setting a minimum fee amount or you may be charged individual payments by task. Do ensure you discuss how they wish to be paid and their costs before you agree for them to work with you. Any costs and fees should be agreed upfront and should be put into writing or a contract.

Ideally when looking for a wedding planner you should opt for someone who has been personally recommended to you. Alternatively you can find them via the Internet or through advertisements place in bridal wear magazines. When choosing check that their own style and individuality is a reflection of your own by browsing through their portfolio of other weddings they have planned. Do ask for references and contact numbers from previous clients to check they were happy with the service they provided.

Planning your wedding is no walk in the park, but in choosing the right Bridesmaids they will give you the extra support and advice you need at each stage, from selecting the perfect wedding dress to assisting you with your bridal wear on the big day. It’s a special and treasured job for any family or friend member of the bride, therefore it is important you choose carefully and wisely without upsetting anyone whom has been influential in your life. Read on for further suggestions of what you should take into consideration.

Think about the type of wedding you are having before selecting the number of attendants you are having. Large formal weddings usually have large bridal parties, whilst smaller intimate ceremonies tend to have a smaller party. The more bridesmaids you have the more complicated it can become. From the selecting the dresses, to the hen night and not forgetting the cost implications.

Take into consideration their personalities. Do you want your bossy or high maintenance friend ordering you about? Or a friend who is vain and will be more concerned about how she looks than yourself? Some ladies may be more trouble than it’s worth. They should be fun, supportive you and love you unconditionally.

Your bridesmaids should have good taste. When shopping for wedding dresses you want someone who is honest and truthful, you don’t want to be opting for the wedding gown they loathe. They should also know how to organise a great party, essential when planning your successful hen party.

You need a friend who can keep you calm and serene in any situation. During the build up to the big day and possibly on the day itself there may be problems that pop up and it’s your bridesmaids role to help ease any issues and help you to relax.

If you are opting to have younger attendants or small children attending your wedding then at least one of your adult bridesmaids should be able to get down to their level and help keep them happy.

Do remember you bridesmaids don’t have to be female. If you have a best friend who is male then he can simply be your bridesman and your groom can always have a groomswoman.

There is no rule to say you can’t have two chief bridesmaids, just as your groom may choose to have more than one best man.

Remember it’s ultimately your decision who your bridesmaids are, don’t be afraid of hurting someone’s feelings as a true friend will respect your choice.

Being a bridesmaid is a big responsibility so don’t be too disheartened should someone turn down your offer. For some being the centre of attention and the pressures is too overwhelming. Some friends may be happy to help you out with tasks behind the scenes.

Once you’ve chosen those special ladies it’s time to begin the wedding gown hunt. For the best selection of cheap wedding dresses then look no further than our huge collection at the Wedding Dress Factory Outlet.

Now you have found your perfect wedding gown from our collection of designer discount wedding dresses at the Wedding Dress Factory Outlet in Leicestershire it’s time to think about the accessories to go with it. One of the first things that springs to a bride’s mind is what to wear on her head. There are lots of options to consider from full on dazzling crowns to bun rings to single stone hair gems. When choosing it is vital to remember that the shape of your face and how you will be wearing your hair is more important than your style and colour of your wedding dress.

Your tiara or chosen headpiece should compliment and frame your face, choosing the wrong style could result in having the opposite effect. If you have a rounded face shape and want to make your face to appear longer then opt for a tiara with height or a peak. Longer faced brides suit headband styles or a tiara with very little height or one that extends right the way over your head at the same height. Ladies with oval faces should avoid peaks which would make your face look longer. By wearing a headband, back piece or a forehead piece will make your face look less oval. Peaked tiaras work well on fuller face brides as they give an illusion of a longer face.

If you have a good idea of how you wish to wear your hair on your wedding day it will be of a great assistance when choosing your headpiece. Whatever you choose your hairdresser will have great fun working out what hairstyles work best with it. The stones and gems in your headpiece should match any twinkle that you have in your wedding gown. For example, if you have pearls on your dress then go for a tiara with some pearls, if you have embroidered flowers on your bodice and train then look for a tiara with some floral detailing. If you are having a modern dress then a more contemporary tiara would work well, whereas if you have selected an antique dress then a vintage headpiece would be more appropriate.

For many brides to be wearing a tiara or headpiece transforms them from a woman wearing a stunning dress into a beautiful bride in her wedding gown. Your accessories should work in harmony with your dress and should compliment it,not overpower it.

We all like to save money where we can and when your getting married it’s no exception. From searching for your perfect wedding dress to finding your dream honeymoon there is a lot of careful planning and preparation to ensure your day is what you have always envisaged. We have compiled some money saving wedding tips to help you keep as much cash in your back pocket whilst ensuring you still have a great day.

Save money on postage costs – do you really need to spend money on those save the date cards and all the stamps for them too? Why not send out an email to all your guests or set up a page dedicated to your wedding via a social networking site or similar.

Consider making your wedding bouquets and buttonholes for the wedding party. Grow your own at home or get down to a flower market. Practice beforehand to make sure you will end up with the results on your wedding day.

Keep your venue decorations down to a minimum. Less is more, a simple candle centrepiece or a rose in a slim vase looks just as dramatic as enormous flower centre pieces. Consider items that you can reuse or sell on to other brides.

Saves money and trees by not buying glossy wedding magazines. They are published online and you can find a whole host of advice and information on the web.

Why not ask your bridesmaids to choose their own dress and pay for it themselves. All you need to do is advise them on the colour required. It is then something they love and will wear again. Cheap matching accessories for all of your maids can finish off the look.

Go to factory outlets for your wedding gown. The Wedding Dress Factory Outlet in Leicestershire has over 700 designer discount wedding dresses to choose from at amazing prices from £150 to £400.

Ask for help from family and friends. If someone is a dab hand at photography then why not entrust them to do your wedding photos or if someone is a good cook they might like to do your reception buffet food with the help of some other well trusted guests.

Save money on your honeymoon by opting for a working holiday such as the expeditions organised by many charities. Alternatively you could ask for honeymoon vouchers and donations.

Gain back some of your expenses by creating a wedding gift list where people contribute towards something for your future together. This could be anything from having a new kitchen or bathroom to your garden being landscaped.

Opt for Prosecco or Cava rather than Champagne, both of which are made in a similar way but usually half the price or less than a bottle of champers. Many people find them easier to drink too.

We all like a bargain, who doesn’t?! Getting married is expensive, and as a couple you will be hoping to keep costs to a minimum where you can, but can you really compromise when it comes to your wedding dress. You may have seen wedding dresses for sale on auction websites, and unauthorised Internet sellers advertising their cheap wedding dresses at unbelievably low prices. Unfortunately we have come across many sad stories from brides who fell into the trap of purchasing bridal wear from these sellers. Their ordered wedding dresses have often arrived faulty, damaged, the wrong colour or style and are often a counterfeit copy. With no refund or replacement policy in place the bride is left devastated and without a wedding gown.

There are also other risks to consider. When buying an item online from some other countries you have to pay Customs Duty and VAT charges when it comes into the country. Often the seller will send the wedding dress and declare it as a ‘gift’. In doing so the wedding gown has entered the country illegally as its commercial value has not been declared. The bride herself is responsible as an importer for all the information provided by the seller on the declaration form. If Customs prove that the value is incorrect then the buyer (i.e. you, the bride!) is liable for the penalty fine, and purchasing a counterfeit good is also illegal.

You can however get your dream wedding dress at a fraction of the cost without any risks, financially or emotionally. At the Wedding Dress Factory Outlet we offer discount designer wedding dresses of exceptional quality. We are one of the UK’s largest and most competitively priced factory outlets. Choose from our comprehensive range of well-known bridal brands and designers and pay up to 75% less than the retail price. We look forward to seeing you soon and assisting you in finding your dream wedding dress safely!

Every bride wants to look the best she has ever done on her wedding day. From her wedding dress, to her hair and make up, she needs to not only look good but feel good too. The bride after all is the centre of attention (sorry you grooms!). Having found your dream wedding gown in our amazing collection of cheap wedding dresses at the Wedding Dress Factory Outlet we would like to give you a few tips on how to achieve a flawless look.

Do ensure you wear eye make up which is waterproof. At some point during the day you are likely to shed a few tears, even if you think you’re too hardcore for that, you may surprise yourself.

Your lipstick or gloss should also be the long-lasting stay put type. You’re going to be in for a long day filled with kisses from not only your new husband but your guests too. With the camera continuously snapping away you want your lips looking picture perfect.

Give someone the duty of keeping a check on your make up for you so they can advise you if you require a touch up. They can also keep a stash of your essentials in their bag.

You could keep an emergency kit in one of the bathrooms at your reception venue, for not just yourself but your female guests too. This could include hairspray, hairbrush, hair grips, clear nail polish for ladders in tights or stockings, deodorant, plasters and a sewing kit. You could even put out a supply of flip flops for tired party feet.

Don’t leave it until the big day before testing out a new product. Do a practice run first or use a product several times first just in case you have an allergic reaction.

And finally relax. A beautiful bride is one that is relaxed and enjoying herself. As long as you get married and enjoy yourself then nothing else will matter in hindsight!

If you’re a bride who is looking for that wedding dress that takes your breath away, then ensure you come and visit us. With over 700 discount wedding dresses to choose from, we have something to suit every bride on every budget. We look forward to seeing you soon and assisting you in finding you dream wedding gown.
